This is Glimmerglass Opera, in Cooperstown, NY. We lived up there and worked there both summers. 
Isn't this a great way to start your day? What a beautiful view!
Since it was almost on the way...we decided to stop at Niagara Falls. It was awesome, even though it was chilly and rainy!
Matt and his carpenter buddies...hot and sweaty! The theatre was open air...so that meant no heat or A/C. Good thing it doesn't get nearly as hot in NY as it does here in IL! :)
It wasn't all work and no play! The Opera had a team in the city slow-pitch softball league, so we got to play after work. Don'w we look athletic? :)
Matt's boss brought back live lobsters from Maine one weekend...oooh they were so good! We were able to go to Syracuse to Dinosaur BBQ, seriously the best BBQ on the planet, in a biker-bar type atmosphere. Those summers were a wonderful break from the everyday...we even got to take a trip to NYC the second year. It was amazing!

That view IS amazing...it would be an awesome thing to wake up to that every morning.
And how do you know Randy and Judy?
Matt looks a lot younger in the picture at Niagra Falls. I guess that is what grad school does to you.
