Oh my goodness!! I'm so glad to say that tax season is officially over! Accountants everywhere breathe a big sigh of relief...at least until we start working on the returns we have on extension... :)
I'm happy to be back to 5-day work weeks, and normal-length work days. This was my second tax season and it really did go a lot better than the first one! I actually felt like I knew what I was doing...for the most part, and could finish returns faster and with less help. It's amazing how great you feel about yourself when you realize how far you've come in a year, especially the first year out of college and in a "real" job!
On a side note, Matt is gratefully counting down the weeks until this semester is over! This semester has been the roughest so far for him...and he could probably sleep for a week! :)
So, tonight I worked with the Young Women on starting their family history (genealogy) work. Since I was going to be there too, I decided to get a few names of my ancestors from my parents and look them up. I was instantly hooked! I am so intrigued to learn more about where I really come from! Does anyone know how to get the new version of FamilySearch? or is it not available for regular people yet? I started my genealogy with the new version at the Family History Center, and got home to realize that the old version is all I can get to... Thanks!
